Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu Childers SIMMS who died at 11 p.m. Wednesday Sept 4, 1957 in Indianapolis will be held at Machledt Funeral Home in Waveland Saturday at 2. The Rev. Roland will officiate and burial will be in Masonic Cem, Wayentown. Mrs. Simms who was the mother of Postmaster Wayne Simms of Waveland had lived in this community for more than 40 years. During the past summer she had suffered a broken hip and after recovering sufficiently to be moved, had gone to Indianapolis where she was making her home with a daughter, Miss Aline Simms. She was born in Breathit Co, Ky and was a member of the United Brethren Church at Yeddo. Other survivors include a son Rowen of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Williams of Lafayette; threegrandchildren; a brother, John Childers of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Louisa Hutts of Yeddo. Her husband, William Simms preceded her in death in 1942. Friends may call at the Machledt Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Friday. - kbz
